Telford Foodbank now redistributing food waste from ALDI

With levels of emergency food parcels rising at a higher volume than the intake of donations from the public, The team at TCS have spent the last 18 months sourcing food waste from retailers and suppliers to ensure a regular supply of fresh bread, fruit and vegetables that would have otherwise have gone to waste.

Having already made successful partnerships with the likes of Marks and Spencer and Greggs, we are delighted to announce that all four ALDI stores in Telford & Wrekin (Madeley, St George’s, Donnington & Newport) will be redistributing their fresh food to the Foodbank instead of throwing it away!

As of March 2017, 850kg of food surplus from ALDI has helped us to support 271 adults and children in crisis across the borough.

We’d like to thank all of the store teams for supporting their local community.

Let’s stop food waste.
