On Saturday 23rd September Telford Crisis Support hosted an official open day for the Foodbank at our new hub at the Leegomery Community Centre site.

Telford Foodbank had previously been located on the Forge retail park but moved to it’s new home at the end of July. The new hub is located right in the heart of Leegomery village and the open day was a great opportunity for local residents to visit and potentially get involved with volunteering right on their doorstep. The aim of the Foodbank is to reduce social isolation through social inclusion by making sure the community has a space where people can come and volunteer and network with others.

So far in 2017, the Telford Crisis Support Foodbank has provided 2700 emergency food parcels for those in need in Telford & Wrekin. We need your donations more than ever so please donate whatever you can to one of the following donation points or you can visit us directly at the Leegomery Community Centre

We’d like to thank everyone who attended the open day and we ask you all to spread the word about our new Foodbank hub!
